A client came to our store with faults in his equipment. He told us that he did not receive video after rendering one of his projects, which he left running all day. The configuration of his equipment was as follows:

.

.

Gaming PC with Msi tower case

Cooler Master Tower Heatsink

Motherboard Asus Tuf Gaming B450 Plus II

Amd Ryzen 7 3700x Processor

64gb ram ddr4 3200Bus

GPU 3060 12GB

850w bq evga power supply

 SSD M.2 1Tb

We carried out many tests but with another motherboard (MSI A520 AMD) the result was that the Ryzen 7 3700x processor did not give us video with any GPU, neither with the client's nor with ours (new).

We decided to change the processor to one of the 5000 series.

Since his budget was tight, he decided to take the Ryzen 7 5700g (integrated graphics)

The surprise we got is that this model of motherboard in some cases does not come with the updated Bios and therefore the equipment did not respond to the new configuration, so we decided to update the Bios.

The installed model compatible with that processor is as follows.

TUF GAMING B450-PLUS II BIOS 2409

Version 2409

15.25MB

2020/12/07

"1.New CPU support

2Add a ReSize BAR shortcut for AMD SAM support

3.Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (.CAP) using BIOSRenamer."

.

We download it from the page:

.

As we do not have a compatible processor, we flash the Bios without a processor, and this process is relatively simple, it is executed as follows: we download the file mentioned in the link above this image, then we unzip the file, after that We execute the file so that it can change the name and then it can be read on a pendrive that must have a fat32 format. The pendrive must be less than 32GB so that it can read the format. after inserting the pendrive into the USB port where it says Bios. We click on the Bios button on the board at the top of the output ports of the motherboard, we wait for the lights to stop flashing and that's it.

.

With that it is more than functional so that our board is ready to read the new processor
